What are the chances that a Google word-search for the mood you are in will yield a cracking good poem?
Frustration.
If I had a shiny gun,
I could have a world of fun.
Speeding bullets through the brains
Of the folks who gave me pains;
Or had I some poison gas,
I could make the moments pass
Bumping off a number of
People whom I do not love.
But I have no lethal weapon-
Thus does Fate our pleasure step on!
So they still are quick and well
Who should be, by rights, in hell.
-Dorothy Parker
That made me feel a lot better. I can now move on to Lorca.

Yay! first comment. I like the poem. But I'd rather have the lethal weapon...
I've been in love with Dorothy Parker for quite sometime now. And especially these lines,
By the time you swear you're his,
Shivering and sighing,
And he vows his passion is
Infinite, undying –
Lady, make a note of this:
One of you is lying.
Truer words have never been written.
why on earth are you frustrated ? :P
hahahah! loved th poem, *evil*.. it also reminded me of happiness is a warm gun..
Nice...I shall now read it to my sis. Interesting blog.
Google is god. :)
Tell me about it Dorothy. Tell me about it.
Hey :) I've been reading your blog for months now but never managed to comment somehow. Thought I would today, hehe. I LOVE your stuff, and your photography. And in case you're curious about my identity, I'm basically a friend of Sujaan's. And Sroyon's and Anshuman's. :)
Might I suggest taking savage pleasure in killing a red ant(the black ones are rumoured to be God)?
Also, turnip.
You're taking too much time to post. Why, in Sroyon's blogroll(which I've been checking every once in a while just to see whether YOU've posted), you're just above the dead blogs and Wodehouse(who hasn't been posting for, what, 40 yrs?!). Do post soon.
And I'm also frustrated. Making holes in your eraser with your compass helps. Only if it's an old dirty one of course. I love clean new erasers. White, rubbery, very nice.
And hi, I'm Pratiti. I sat right behind you at the M.P. Birla, and I thought it was a great pity you weren't on stage. You were very good. If Sujaan and Tommy hadn't been in my school, I'd have definitely cheered for you. I also read your blog.
hello pratiti and shrabasti :) i've made up my mind to love you both for the size and content of your comments :D
@ everyone else: dorothy rules!
