Today being a Friday morning, I shall ramble. That doesn't necessarily mean I ramble on Friday mornings like people do other things on other days, like practise pilates or pay bills. I just didn't know how else to begin.
Maybe I shall address some serious issues today.
I am never getting my hair cut again. It tickles my ear when I want it to float, it falls down my face when I want to read, it sticks out at odd angles when I want to look grave and profound. It also goes clammy and clings to my neck if it gets too hot. Let it grow back fast, dear world, please let it grow back fast. Then I shall tie it up into a boring little knob and never grumble about my hair again. All this fashion nonsense is not for impatient people.
Second serious issue, I am in need of a new brain.
In other news, I bought a new sketchbook and a finepoint black pen. I then cleaned my desk and sat down and waited for inspiration to strike. Ten minutes later I was watching Tom and Jerry on TV. The good part about this is that it made me switch on the TV for the first time in a month. The bad news is that I still haven't used the sketchbook.
Thirdly, I have found a tree to climb near the football field. It has wide sprawling branches that one can sit on very comfortably. We climbed it on Tuesday towards the evening and watched an orange sun go down into a mass of concrete in the horizon, and then we climbed it again later at eight thirty before going home. I shall find an apple and a book and spend an entire afternoon on it next week.
I find myself increasingly unable to do anything meaningful nowadays. Nothing I'm very proud of, at any rate. Except the progress with bubblegum. I can now create bubbles that reach till my eyebrows. In case this sounds all wrong, here is something I drew for edification and enlightenment :
(Also, notice the hair sticking out. Grumble.)

14 have survived.:
when you can go into such rambles with the olde braine, why do you want a new one?
and who said 'constructive' is good? i should know, i'm around builders for most of my time.
Lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one with perpetual hair woes. :D
Also, WV=fabat.
Put up a photograph of an eyebrow-high bubblegum bubble.
wait. you plan to enjoy an apple and a book on a tree branch?
why does that sound dangerous?
How about you sit under the tree with the sketchbook and get someone to climb onto a branch and throw apples at your head. You can rediscover grvity and in the process get your god-given brain working again:) ur welcome!
@ heh? ok: because i'm told rambling is more up the senile street, if you know what i mean :P
@ comment deleted: CHOR! bring back my comment.
@ shrabasti: high fiiive :)
@ sroyon: i do not believe anyone will volunteer to take it ;)
@ safdar: shuttup, ok. i can climb trees better than you can shoot people with fake guns.
@ pom: who said my brain wasn't working? *looks offended*
Moni tells me you've grown thinner.
Why do you do this to us eh, JU meye?
I don't like your new hair. It looks .. for lack of a word, gay.
It's not gay. I just can't think of a word.
Oh, I can so relate to the hair worries. But you know, you've to be completely assertive when you deal with them(barbers, not worries). What I did this time was that I only half asserted myself and ended up with...oh well, never mind, long story. If its any consolation, I saw you in front of World View the other day and the hair looked very fashionable. I went to get myself an iced tea and then meant to approach you with something like "Priyankadidi, Priyankadidi, show me around your campus?", but you just disappeared. I swatted mosquitoes and read Hayavadana for two whole hours beside one of your jhils.
:)
I can't blow bubbles.
I can't whistle.
Within me is a changra who is dying to come to the fore, but she is restrained by my ineptness.
@ shreya: moni is delusional. perish the thought.
@ VG: don't worry. i sympathise.
@ Pratiti: what? when? next time run to me before i run away so that you can pester me *grin*. and come to JU more often.
@ dotl: which is another way of saying you're a petite ladylike thing :P
Hey, nice drawing.
